
Mr. Gözen has been working for Turkish energy regulator – EMRA since 2002 as an energy expert. He is in the electricity market department and is responsible for market monitoring, preparing secondary legislation and coordinating international relations regarding electricity market including EU relations. Previously he worked for Etibank – a government owned mining institution for almost 10 years in the departments of projects, marketing, and planning.
He has a doctorate degree from Ankara University in the area of finance obtained in 2001. His doctorate thesis is about corporate valuation. In addition, he completed a post doctorate research financed by Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme about determining cost of capital for network utilities in emerging countries in Dundee University in the United Kingdom in 2010. His main interest areas are finance, energy economics, energy finance and renewable support mechanism. He has published several articles in academic journals about his field of interests.
